Multiplying all cells: HELP!

M

Martin

I am doing a spreadsheet for a UK business, computing all
in pounds sterling. My US partner wants a version in dollars.

How can I multiply all cells by the exchange rate, 1.87?

Hi Martin

put 1.87 in a cell somewhere and copy it,
then select your whole spreadsheet (you might want to duplicate/back it up
first)
and choose edit / paste special
click the mulitply radio button and ok

Cheers

another way is to edit your rate 1,87 in a cell lets say C1 then i
another column edit this formula :
=B1*$C$1 (where B1 is your value in Sterling pound )
And then drag your formula down the needed range.
