multiple windows on taskbar

Tracey

I have just been upgraded from NT to 2000. Now, when I
have Excel or similar program running and I have a number
of files open within the same program, each file opened is
also contained as a window on my taskbar. How do I
eliminate this such that I only have one window per
program type open?

Thanks

Hi Tracey,

For Excel, search Excel Help for the following phrase and follow the steps:

workbooks on the taskbar

For your "similar program", try searching its help and if you can't find an answer
try posting in a newsgroup where experts for that program hangout. For example, if
the "similar program" is Corel Quattro Pro, try posting in the Corel newsgroups:

Corel Newsgroups - Support NewsGroup Info

Thanks! That's much better. I assumed the option was
going to be in Windows itself, not in the individual
programs.

Thanks again!
