If I create my database, can it be shared amoungst users. In other words,
we do have a workgroup set up between all of our office personel, with a
main system that houses our accounting system. Everyone has access to it.
There is not a server installed on the main system. No exchange server.

If I save the database to the hard drive on the main computer, can more then
one user in the workgroup open that data base and run queries?

Yes.

I'd very strongly suggest using a "split" database architecture. See

for a discussion in depth.
