Multiple users on linked excel table

I've built a DB with a form which is linked to an excel table and is shared
on the network (the table is outside the database)
when i open the form on one computer it works fine , when i try to open a
form on a nother user's computer it tells me that the database is locked.
the excell table is in shared mode which means that using excel i can open
the same file with multiple computers on the network ,
the form is set to shared and with no locks.
how do i make it work on the same table with multiple computers ?
(i cannot import the table inside the db , it have to be linked only).

I do not know your exact solution. I can only tell you that excel is not
ment to be a multi user datastore. I would assume that access "locks" the
file.
