Early this year, I convinced my wife to switch to Outlook 2000 from Outlook
Express on her computer. We will be doing some traveling this fall and
winter using a portable computer loaded with Windows 2000. We download mail
to both of our accounts at Internet Cafe's or hotels, which was straight
forward with each of us being on different email softwares. However, with
both of us using Outlook, I will now have to download her email, then log her
off, and log myself on, all of which takes time.

Fast switching would be nice, except Windows 2000 doesn't have that feature
like my home computer with Windows XP. Any suggestions?

Set up a second mail profile. Control Panel-Mail-Show profiles-Add.

You will have to close Outlook each time before switching profiles, but it's
a lot less hassle than having to re-start Windows!

Gordon,
Thanks for the reply, however the feature Control Panel-Mail-Show
profiles-Add doesn't appear on my computer. It just has Control Panel-Mail,
clicking that brings up the screen for adding Internet Accounts with only one
tab labeled Mail. What am I missing. Is it because I only use Internet Mail?

No, it's because you are running Outlook 2000 in "Internet Only" mode. If
you change to Corporate and Workgroup mode, it won't stop you using Internet
(as in POP) mail, but you should then be able to add a new Profile.
