I have purchased Windows XP Pro for my home computer and
I have serveral other computers belonging to my children
in the house. I would like to upgrade their computers
hardware and install my Windows XP on their Computers.
Does any one know I an individual can purchase a multiple
use license from Microsoft and install it on my childrens
computers? If so, who at microsoft would I contact and an
approximate cost.
Thanks

Yes.

You can buy extra licenses (see
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/howtobuy/addlic.asp). But
depending on how many you want, it may not be a good deal. The
problem is that Microsoft sells additional licenses at only a
small savings over the list price. You may be better off just
buying complete extra copies from a discount source.

If you have the "retail version" of XP Pro, you can use the
same XP Pro CD for installation with each new Product Key.

OEM versions of XP Pro cannot upgrade over XP Home
as the OP wishes to do.

said they wanted to "Upgrade Hardware" and install XP.

It really is unnecessary to add to MS's $52 billion cashe horde.

"Trustworthy Computing" is only another example of an Oxymoron!
"Produkt-Aktivierung macht frei!"
