Multiple Selections Possible in PowerPoint?

Q

Dear Everyone:

When I use PowerPoint, I often need to use a multitude of subscripts,
superscripts, and different fonts for certain key words in the text---
all in the SAME slide.

As far as I know, I can only select ONE item and change it, then
select another one and change it, ...... If I need twenty (20)
subscripts, I need to repeat the process twenty times, which is
tediously painful.

So the question: Is it possible to do MULTIPLE SELECTIONS? In other
words, can you select several places at the same time, and then you go
to "Format--font" just ONCE to make ALL of your selections to
subscripts?

Thank you for reading and replying!

Format painter is your friend :)

You can ...

... change one selection to the way you want it.

... then double click on the format painter (looks like a little paint
brush).

... then go thru the rest of your slide and select the text you want
with this format. Each selection will change to the format of the first.

To end this, click on a blank section of the slide or on the format painter
icon again.

If you only single click on the format painter, the formatting will only
apply to the next selected text. The double click keeps it active until
turned off.

Thank you, Bill. It works like magic! In fact, I asked a couple of
colleagues, and none of them is aware of the "format painter". Thank
you again! --Roland
