Multiple Read Reciept

Hi, One user geting multiple read reciepts for one mail from one user.
What could be the reason for the same ?

We are using Outlook 2003 and Exchange 2003.
NOT POP3 / IMAP.

did they make copies of the mail before marking it read? Is the receipt
sender using cached mode? If so, try a new cache file.
