Multiple Outgoing Servers

Does anyone know if it is possible to have an email account with several
outgoing smtp servers?

My ISP's servers are often down and so I would like it to be able to utilise
an alternative SMTP server as a backup should it not be able to contact the
primary server.

Robert,

I am sorry, but I do not understand. Obviously I can set up another email
account with a backup smtp address and set it to send only. However, how can
a single email message be set to send on multiple accounts?

For example, I have 3x email accounts (business 1, business 2 and personal).
Each has its own unique incoming and outgoing mail server address. I would
like to be able to set the business 2 outgoing server address as a backup for
the business 1 account.

Please excuse me if I am being thick, but I cannot see how this helps.

No, it is not possible to set a "fallback" SMTP server. You can only choose
1 SMTP server and decide which one to use by selecting it via the Accounts
button before actually sending the message.

If one SMTP server doesn't respond, you can cancel the message and send it
again via another SMTP server.
