i am having a problem trying to install a second monitor...using a nvidia pci
card and my mother board display output
Open Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device Manager.
Click on the + sign in front of the Display Adapters category header
to show the detailed items in this category.
Are there two entries listed there, one for your nVidia card and one
for the built-in display?
If not then your hardware is not designed to use both adapters
simultaneously and when the nVidia card is detected the on-board video
is automatically disabled.
What is the make and model of your motherboard? It may be possible to
reconfigure the video settings in the BIOS setup.
Good luck
