Is there any 9800-based ati or sapphire card with 'true' *dual monitor*
support? I mean that the card should have 2 physical outputs, a DVI and a
VGA, so that I can plug an old CRT to the VGA and a flat screen to the DVI
and extend the desktop on both. Currently, I'm doing this with an old
Sapphire 9100, but I can't find any clear information about such feature for
the 9800-family models. Is there any model which fits my needs? I can't
understand the generic "dual monitor support" feature advertised for most
cards of this family, if they really have only 1 output (either DVI or VGA
or with a DVI-to-VGA adapter): if this means that you can plug a TV plus a
monitor this is not for me: I need to extend the desktop onto two pc
monitors, plugged with 2 different cables to 2 output, VGA and DVI. Any
hint?

Thanks guys!

my gigabyte 9800 pro has 2 separate outputs. 1 vga and another dvi. I use
both monitors at once. hope that helps answer the question.

Most of the 9800 cards seem to meet your needs. Here's a couple on
Newegg with 1 - VGA out, 1 - DVI Out, 1 - S-Video TV out, and they
include adapters so that you can use the DVI out as a VGA out.
