I have 4 email accounts that I am trying to set up in WM. I have created all
4 accounts through tools...I can only log into 1 account and emails for all 4
accounts are being sent to that 1 account. I can not switch identities or
accounts. When I click on identities it puts me into a loop about importing
messages & identities & deleting identities. Regardless of what I click on
it takes me to a message that says all identities have been imported or
deleted and goes no further. I am sure it is a simple fix but I have been
working on it for 2 days and can't seem to find the right solution. Please
help!

1. (The MS way) Create a new Windows User for each account. (Silly if
that's all it's for, good if it's separate users.)

2. (My Way) Create a new folder in Windows Mail for each account and then
create Message Rules like this:

Apply this rule after the message arrives
Where the message is from the mail.fjsmjs.com account
Move it to the fjsmjs folder
and Stop processing more rules

The "Stop processing more rules" is important and put such rules at
the top.

The third way being Windows Live Mail with a separate set of folders for
each account:

I'm have the same problem as kathie. can you help!
Windows Mail does not support identities. It puts the incoming mail
from all email accounts into one Inbox.

I have the same problem. I want secure sign on for each email account (4
accounts) like Outlook Express. Now anyone can click on Windows mail and get
my old mail. Also, when i send and receive all emails are sent to me. Anyone
know how to get individual email accountss...or should i just download
outlook express for vista??? CD

There is no Outlook Express for Vista.
If you want a separate secure sign-on for each email account,
you will have to set up each email account under a separate
Windows user profile.

I am also having the same problem, I have multiple email accounts on the
provider and I want to have separte accounts and access /pw's and I tried the
program mentioned(http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview) but it requires that I
have a hotmail account, which I dont' want, perhaps I'm using it wrong, but
if I can't get a solution, I'll go back to the way I was using it on XP,
multiple Eudora programs, please let me know how to get this thing to work

OK, can you provide more info, I installed the program, only the Mail
portion, I have an "Live ID" account, but when I access the mail function
from the tool bar I get the message "You don't have an inbox...yet" and it
gives me the link to Hotmail, I can't seem to get to my inbox...please
explain in detail what I might be doing wrong.

thanks

Correction the error message is "you don't have a Hotmail account...yet" not
"inbox"
thanks.

You don't need to USE the hotmail account....

You don't even have to have a Hotmail account.
That's optional, in case you want to sync and backup your Contacts
to a Live ID on the web.

You need to install at least one account in order to use the mail function.
It doesn't have to be a Hotmail account.
