Smart question - As you suspected, you don't want to change your
laptop's settings or you'll mess up its connection to the domain.
Here's how you can use the machine at home (from MVP Lanwench):
Once you've logged in using your domain account (using cached
credentials), and have an IP address on the home network, you can map
drives, use printers, whatnot, very easily - one way, in a command
line:
net use x: \\computername\sharename /user:computername\username <enter>
Great...but what the ">" tags all about? I'm using Firefox and each of
hte lines I orginally wrote are prefade with the tag. I ask because this
same tag is in the command line that you sent. Is the tag I am getting a
substitute?
Never mind I see that when I use any other browser the tags are cleared up.
