Multiple Birthdays per Contact....

I wonder what the best (approved) solution is to entering
one-family birthdays in Outlook.

Let's say I have some good friend with two kids. Their
contact info is BILL AND BARBARA JONES. I am left with
one field for birthdays.

Do I enter them separately in the calendar? Or can I add
custom fields in the contact info? Will these fields show
up in the calendar? Will these fields be preserved if
moving ontact info to a different machine?

Can't find any info about this in the knowledge base.
Would like to do it right the first time.

Happy computing,

Arno

Don't know the 'right' way , but what I do is:
First open the family contact, then open the calendar.
Next create a calendar entry for each birthday, and as you do drag the calendar entry into the notes field of the contact to create a calendar shortcut for that family member .
You can create as many such family entries as you wish that way.

I make these recurring calendar entries, so they are there from year to
year, but one short coming is that the birth year is not recorded unless of
course you add a note in to that effect near the calendar short cut in the
contact.

Hope that helps.
