multiple batteries

I have three batteries for my lap top. When I look at the Power Meter
tab in Power Options, I have "show details for each battery" checked.
Yes if I switch battery's it only shows one battery at a time.
Am I misunderstanding something?

Yes. That's in case the notebook can have more than one battery installed at the same time.
For example, instead of a floppy or ZIP disk bay installed, a second battery is installed.
