multipe parameter query in form

Teaching myself Access 2003 from Access03 bible - apreciate direction to
resources on how to learn about setting up the following. Want users to be
able to enter EmployeeID and/or FamilyName and/or FirstName on form to
retrieve record from a query. Can it work such that users can enter just the
first one or two characters of one or more of the aforementioned paramters ?
A broad questions - just looking for resources, key words i should search on
Ms website to self tutor my through this !

You can start by training your users to right click in the appropriate text
box and and enter a value into the "Filter For:" shortcut option. You can
enter something like *carl* to match with wild cards.
