Multiline Textbox disabled in read only mode

Hi Bill

Unfortunately the problem is that the Read Form is read
only. This stops the controls from getting the focus, so
the vertical scroll bar doesn't appear, even though the
setting says it should.

Any other ideas?

My explanation wasn't great. Sorry.
I meant to add that once you have changed the properties
to enable the multi line text box to have a scroll
bar, save the form, you can then have different read and
compose pages and save it as read only again.
Make sure that when you test the form you test the text
field with enough characters to require a scroll bar. The
scroll bar will not appear unless it is necessary.
Hope this explanation is a little better. Sorry for my
last.

No guarantee's but if you want to send it too me and the
file is not too big (<1MB), send it to
(e-mail address removed) and I will have a look at it.

Derek,
Is there room for the read page text box to be
automatically resized? If so, set the autosize property
of the read page text box to true and then the read page
text box will automatically resize to show the text from
the compose page text box.

Hi Mike

Unfortunately there isn't room to use an autosize. The
form has been designed by someone else and all I was meant
to be doing was making the "enter key work in that
textbox".

It looks like I've been successful (see other message),
but thanks for your ideas.

Cheers

Hi Bill

There is just one problem that I'm having now (sorry).

When the recipient of the email receives the form, the
textbox with the scrollbar isn't showing the scrollbar.

Therefore the user (recipient) might not realise that
there are additional lines that they aren't reading.

It's only when you click into the textbox that the
scrollbar appears.

Thanks again for your time.
