Multiburst image files

I know this is probably not the best place to ask this question but thought
someone here might be able to help.

I bought a new digital camera that has multiburst mode. I thought that
would be great for taking action shots and then being able to choose the one
you like.

But now reading in the docs for camera, it states that the images cannot be
separated. What kind of hooey is that? Anyway, does anyone here know of a
work around or a utility that will separate the 16 images into 16 individual
files.

If there is a news server/group that would be more appropriate that, too
would be appreciated.

TIA

On the Microsoft Public server try;

news://microsoft.public.windowsxp.photos

On the other side of the fence try;

news://rec.photo.digital

You might also try the camera manufacturers support site and/or User forum
if there is one.

FWIW the camera I have (Kodak DX6490) has a burst mode that captures each
image as an individual jpeg.
