MULTIBOOT

How in the world can I delete a version of vista that was installed on my
laptop??

A friend of mine had her father reinstall my vista on my laptop to see if it
would help make my computer more efficient.. indeed it has however i still
have the original and IRRITATING version on my computer.. when restarting or
turning on my laptop a black screen comes up asking me which version i'd like
to run... there are two options:
Microsoft Windows Vista (freshly installed version)
Windows Vista (old one that gave me sooo many problems)

I know what he did is called multibooting but I don't need that?!
how can i delete the older one and stick with just the newly reinstalled
vista and not have to see this screen continuously?
