Multiboot

Mike

I'm running XP pro. I put a multiboot system on here.
First I put xp on then win 98 se. I did this by following
the instructions from this webpage
http://www.dougknox.com/. I have since deleted 98 se, but
when I boot up it still asks me what system I want booted
up. I want to get rid of this screen. How do I go about
doing it without having to reload XP? If you would email
me the answer I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Mike

Look for a file called "boot.ini", mine is off the root of C:, I have also
seen it in windows\system---It will be hidden

Edit out the line for win98.

I am sorry to say you cant you will have to reload XP and
at the same time repartition the hard drive which can be
done using the XP disc once you install another operating
system on the same HD you cannot delete that system
without reloading or using a program that will allow you
to repartition the drive without disturbing the first OS
ie XP you would be better off ie using different drives
in other words using a C Drive and a D drive C drive for
XP d drive 98

Right-click on MY COMPUTER - choose ADVANCED tab - then choose Startup and
set boot delay to 0 (zero)
