Multi-processor Support

I have a one processor Windows 2000 Advanced server
machine hosting Oracle 8 database. Because of performance
issue, I plan to add a second processor to this machine.
Can the server still boot up after the second processor
was added? Is there any way or utility to reconfigure the
server without having to do a fresh installation? Thanks
for your advice in advance.

Not a problem, we do this all the time.
Add the processor, fire up windows, ricght click My
Computer, select Device Manager, select Processor, go to
Computer, right click for properties of APCI Uniprocessor,
select Undapte driver, click next, click display from list
of existing, and finally select APCI Multiprocessor....


Easy as...
