Does anyone know what the maximum number of monitors the mulit-monitor
feature will support in XP without additional drivers from the manufacturer?

I think it depends on whether you want cloned desktops, or extended
desktops. In which case I believe it depends on drivers for your graphics
card.

Windows XP supports ten monitors. The more severe limit is how
many video cards you can install.

The answer depends entirely on your hardware. The absolute MAX is ten If
you have the hardware to support ten. You will have to figure out the
MAX for your configuration yourself.
