"MTF" vs "MTF Zone" ?

I've Googled "MTF Zone" but the hits did not give a *definitive*
answer to a question.

What is the *difference* between the "MTF" and "MTF Zone?"

1) MTF = what, and what it does

2) MTF Zone = what, and what it does

Without providing any context, like details of WHERE you think the MTF
[Zone] is used, any 3 words for an acronym are applicable, like:

ALWAYS REVIEW your message before submitting it. You want someone OTHER
than yourself to understand your post. Also remember that no one here
is looking over your shoulder to see at what you are pointing. If you
don't well explain your situation by providing the DETAILS that you
already know, don't expect others to know what is your situation.
Explain YOUR computing environment and just what actions you take to
reproduce the problem - and describe the problem so OTHERS know of what
you are asking for help.

Often you get just one chance per potential respondent to elicit a reply
from them. If they skip your post because you gave them nothing to go
on (no details, no versions, no OS, no context) then they will usually
move on to the next post and never return to yours.

1) MTF = what, and what it does

2) MTF Zone = what, and what it does

The MFT is the NTFS Master File Table, every file on an NTFS volume is
represented by a "file record" in the MFT, for lack of a better term the
MFT is the index (and more) for all the files on the NTFS volume.

The MFT zone is a reserved area on the disk for exclusive use by the
MFT, the MFT zone houses the MFT.

This might be helpful:

Good answer, but stupid.

Practicing your oxymoron statements, I see. Of course, no one should
ever review their post before submitting it and, of course, never
provide any context or details. That would only get in the way of
having "fun" at guessing.
