MSWord2007 and Check Box Calculations

S

Smithers

Is it possible based on check boxes to make a calculation? In my table, I
have 12 rows and in column A, I have all check boxes in rows 2-11. I want to
calculate sum of the those text boxes * 5. So if three are checked, I get 15
at the bottom row. I believe this is a COUNTA function in excel. Is this
possible in Word2007?

Thanks!

Hi Smithers,

Are you're referring to a checkbox formfield? If so, you can only do this sort of thing with a macro. Formula fields can't evaluate
a checkbox formfield state.

If a Dropdown formfield would suit your purposes, one or more of those could be evaluated by a formula field.
