MSN msg 6 does not remember Display Picture or Backgrounds

When ever I sign-in to MSN Messenger again it does not
remember the last Display picture i used. Instead it
selects a random picture.

Also it does not remember the backgrounds I select for
certain contacts.

Why does this happen ?
