MSN Messenger and .net passport

When I log into MSN Messenger at the .net passport screen i get lots of email
adresses (mates using my pc) which i wish to delete of my copuetr, without
closing thier email a/c's.

Also in messsenger, tools, options, privacy theres lots of people who i ahve
chatted to but dont any more - how do i get rid of them when they delete
option is greyed out?

For you first problem, when you get the list of email addresses try
selecting {using Shift or CTRL as appropriate} the unwanted addresses by
placing your mouse pointer on the address and then pressing the delete key
on your keyboard. If you prefer, you can select and delete one address at
time.

For you second problem, is Delete still grayed out when you select someone
to delete?
