MSN Messenger 7 showing unread hotmail messages at XP logon screen

Tim

Since upgrading the the latest MSN Messenger, the number of unread hotmail
messages, including the hotmail account, is being shown underneath the
userid name at the XP Welcome screen. Is there a way to get rid of this
being shown?

Greetings Tim,

To disable this feature, download the TweakUI powertoy:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp (see on the right).

After you have TweakUI installed, click Start, All Programs, Powertoys for Windows XP, and
choose TweakUI for Windows XP. In the TweakUI window, on the left, click the '+' next to
Logon, and choose Unread Mail. Uncheck 'Show unread mail on Welcome screen' and click OK.
