msn messenger 6.1

works lovely , then when i come to shut down computer, it
always comes up with" msn 6.1 not responding" and it
takes ages to shut down
i have uninstalled it then reinstalled it , to no avail ,
has anyone had this problem???
 
Do you have any Firewall products enabled? Try disabling
them before shutting down to see if that makes any
difference. Are you on broadband or dial-up?
 
i'm on dial up. will check if i have fire wall on , but i
dont think so , thanks for your time
