MSN and XP

I downloaded V 6.0 Messanger and I cannot get rid of the
old version. I cant find it on my pc anywhere, how do i
remove the old version? Please help!

you are most likely thinking of Windows Messenger. MSN Messenger would have
upgraded itself.

Old version of windows messenger? (msn messenger and windows messenger are
separate programs)
To delete Messenger, try this from Johathan Kay:
Close down Messenger (right click the messenger icon in the notification
area/system tray and click close). Then click the start button, then
click Run and type in (copy-paste if you like):
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Then click OK. Messenger will then be uninstalled. For more detailed

my msn came on at windows start up, and "connected" sarah falls over.. lol

I have a question? when I booted up, windows said, "you have uninstalled
windows messenger, do you want to clean up personal files associated with
it"
I said no, is that a boo boo?

I think the uninstall worked except fopr error message
Cannot uninstall OCX 16422 any ideas?

I have no idea what that error is, but if it all seems to be working ok,
then don't worry about it.
