MSMQ Fails to Start - Problems with Exchange

Hi,
I was hoping someone here could help me please, I'm desperately in need of a
fix for this problem!!

The Message Queuing Service on our Windows 2000 Server failed to start after
a reboot on Friday night (to install a SCSI Card & LTO2 Tape Drive).
It generates a sequence of errors in the Application Event Log, with Event
IDs going;

2121
2124
2053
2053
2078

The first 2 seem to be related to it having been originally installed in
‘Workgroup’ mode and are fixed by adding the ‘AlwaysWithoutDS’ DWord to the
registry as per KB839929, and I thought the last 3 related to KB842839 –
inconsistent log files.

So I got the hotfix for this from Microsoft, and it didn’t fix it!
The thing is that this seems to be causing problems with the Exchange Server
(v2000, running on the same box), where no-one is able to open any email
received since the reboot on Friday night.

The log file form the last attempt to start the service looks like this;

It’s completely meaningless to me I’m afraid!

I’ve also tried patching the server using Windows Update – it’s fully
updated now but that’s had no effect on MSMQ!

If anyone has any idea what’s causing this problem I’d greatly appreciate
any help anyone could give!

I've seen recent examples of the 0xc00e0075 error on several different
servers. This error is reported to be "Can't create object" or "out of
resources". I've found that a reboot temporarily makes the errror go away.
Take at look at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;870985
which appears to be one rev newer on MSMQ hotfixes than what you have
installed.
