MSI problems

Hello,
I can't utilize the msinfo32.exe program and am getting errors in my System
Log file due to this service not functioning properly or absent.
I tried using the Windows Add-Remove, removed the feature and re-installed
to no avail. Any suggestions?

Try going to: Control Panel>Admin Services>Services.
Find Help and Support. It may need to be started or
Stopped & Started.

the above link is a good start, however w/ SP2 the solution might be
simpiler: did you disable the (new) DCOM Server Process Launcher service?
It needs to be running for msinfo to work.

What would you recommend when 'Help and Support' does not exist in
Admin>Services?

I'm having the same problem. Using XP Pro sp2
