.msg vs .msg unicode

Can someone list the positive and negative effects for saving an email as
..msg vs .msg unicode? We can assume that some people will open the file may
not have Outlook installed on their computer.
 
In that case you shouldn't be using the msg-format as it is restricted to
Outlook.

Anyway, unicode is a standardized encoding system which provide a UNIque
CODE to every character independent from things like language, operating
system, program, etc...

Unicode formatted msg-files are supported in Outlook 2003 and later.
