msconfig question

while checking msconfig I noticed an entry and wondered what is it
for:
Startup Item: dumprep 0 -k
Command: %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k
Location: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Any clues as to why it is there and if it is needed?

Thanks for your reply
I have disabled it.
I once had a bad MEM stick and I think that is how it may have gotten
there.
