msconfig in XP

Can I disable all items in Windows XP.. under the start up
tab in msconfig, by selecting disable all? If I need to
leave any items running, what are they?

you need to keep explorer running also I believe
systemtray,If you are planning to disable them
permantantly it is better to keep them from starting up
through the properties of each program, of course
disableing them all will also shut down your anti-virus
and firewall programs do you want to do this?
