MSBLAST or w32.blaster.worm Removal!!!!!

Jam Man

Hello All,

My name is Jamie and I work for a call center for
Microsoft online services. I have been looking for a cure
to the worm problem people are having with Windows XP and
2000. You can goto www.windowsupdate.microsoft.com and
update you security updates. You can also call the Virus
help line, 1-866-PCSAFETY, that line is actually over used
right now for the removal of the worm. If you feel
confident that you can remove it you can goto
www.symantec.com and on the webpage there is a link to
that new worm being spred around. Here is the axact URL
to the page

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32
..blaster.worm.html

At Symantec's webpage, it will give you the removal
process. so that we can all get on with out busy lives.

Good Luck to All and happy fishing!

LOL sorry, just had to add alittle humor to this very
sticky situation.

Jamie,

I had to reload XP before realizing this bug was causing
the problem. Anyway, as fast as i can load the Comcast
Cable LAN onto XP the worm jumps in and shuts my computer
down. I don't have time to get to the MS website to
download the patch. How can I download the patch on
another computer using Windows 2000 when I need the XP
version and to be able to save it on a CD and take home to
use there?

The MS update only allows automatic download based on the
operating system calling into the website as far as I can
tell.... how would I do this?
