MSAS Splash screen... how to disable it?

How do I disable the MSAS splash screen? Everytime when I start MSAS the
splash sreen starts also and I have to go through this process of setting it
up, instead of going directly to choosing which type of scan I want.[quick or
thorough] This has not been happening. I have been using the program for
about nine months now. But since yesterday it has been showing the splash
screen. I don't remember making any changes except trying out a Puppy Linux
live cd. I using the latest build, the one that expires in July 2006. Thanks

My take on this is that it is evidence of a corrupted .GCD file.

Here's the fix that has worked for others:

1) uninstall Microsoft Antispyware
2) delete the \program files\microsoft antispyware folder and all
subfolders. You will lose access to all quarantined objects, history, and
custom settings.
3) reinstall Microsoft antispyware, taking care to be logged in as the
administrator user who will use the program, and that you are installing the
newest version.
