MSAS should leverage WinPE

Fighting malware that's already present in memory is
futile if not just time consuming. With technologies like
Windows Automated Installation Kit using Windows PE why
shouldn't Microsoft AntiSpyware do the same? I know there
will probably be plugins for BartPE that will do this just
as there is to take advantage of the SpybotS&D 1.4 ability
to load the registry and clean it but it would be nice to
get a "supported" solution.

I've seen a discussion of this exact issue among knowledgable folks close to
the program. My understanding is that they are intending to address the
circumstances you mention, although perhaps not in the way that you suggest.

Hi Kevin,

Interesting point. Yes, Bart's an run SpyBot pretty nicely. Bart's is a grey
area, yet there are a heckuva lot more plugins for it than for the (real)
WinPE.

The real WinPE is not generally available to the public.
