MSAS looks a lot like CounterSpy

No, CounterSpy looks a lot like Microsoft AntiSpyware... ;) Actually they both
had the same roots. GIANT was bought by Ms, but GIANT had an agreement to
provide AV signature definitions to CounterSpy, so Ms inherited that obligation
until 2007 (I think?) You should see the programs diverge more starting with
the release of Beta2, which will be RE-coded by Ms not like the Beta1 which is
basically GIANT code.
