MSAS Error - Are you having this problem too?

F

Fulong

When the computer boots, Mirosoft Antispy window pops up
on the desktop screen displaying a "gcasDtServHolder"
window, with a few options!

This shouldn't be happening, so what is causing it, and
what to do about it?

Also has anyone tried the manual update? I found it
doesn't work, only the auto update does, as I get a
message for the manual update failing for the reason of
no online connection is available... But it is and every
other application works fine. These two issues are from
Microsoft Antispy application.

There have been periodic problems with the update service--these have been
transient--if you test again in a few hours, you'll probably find it works.
The error message is not helpful.

Bill, does does help?

After booting up into Windows XP SP2, Microsoft Antispy
program displays a small child window,
titled "gcasDtServHolder" displaying several options,
appearing to be some form of button action required. I
will capture a screen image of this, and send you if you
provide an email addres, or advise me on how to upload
the image for you to see.

I did notice that the manual update has started to work,
so your right about it from what you said. Thank you, and
hopefully the above makes some sense for you, as I would
think the "gcasDtServHolder" child title window would
indicate to someone who programmed the application
something here to know about it?

:) Thank you for your effort and time!

I've seen other posts mentioning this strange window being visible--one with
a JPG attached, so I know what it looks like!

Microsoft reads these groups, and changes are being made to the product
based on the feedback here. Thanks for testing!
