Hello: (I am very novice, I am writing my first DB)
I have a combo box in a table refering to another table (to limit choices
input in field to avoid entry errors, and make it possible to use info no one
remembers such as account numbers). The sub table has 3 columns and I have
the look-up set ok (8cm;8cm;8cm etc), but I want the field in the primary
table to display the contents of a column other than the first. (did that
make sense?) Like this: Sub table: John Calgary AD45454, I want to
see that this is John I am choosing, but in the final table, I want the
account number to be the info that is displayed (it is an account number
field), it keeps showing me that it is John. (I tried inversing the columns,
but it doesn't work because I then have the same problem elsewhere)
Further on the same point, I would like the table to go look at the sub
table and select that whole row in the sub table and display it all, so I can
select John in Calgary ac AD45454, and have all that info appear in the
second table.
Help!! (thank you for reading) *sigh*
