MSAccess 2002 Not Exiting Cleanly

Since I converted our Access application from Access 97
to Access 2002, the program doesn't end properly.
Everything looks ok on the surface, the application goes
away, but if you go into Task Manager, the MSACCESS.EXE
task is still access. Also the application's .ldb
security file is still around. After several days use,
I've found 6 or 7 copies of Access listed as active by
the Task Manager. Eventually system performance
seriously degrades. (I've run the application as .mdb
and .mde and get the same problem.)

Any help with this problem will be much appreciated!

It sounds like the references are a bit screwed. Usually if that happens
then a DLL is being loaded not quiter right or something. It will be
something to do with that I would say. Try creating a blank xp database
and importing the objects. Check thereferences...

Make sure that all Windows Updates are up-to-
date....especially Jet 4.0 Service Pack 8
