ms04-028 patch error

hello

im trying to install a microsoft patch ms04-028, it fails
each time i try to install from the web, so i decided to
download the patch and install it manually.
But i get the following error:

Extracting file failed. It is most likely caused by low
memory (low disk space for swapping file) or corrupted
Cabinet file.

i have used the downloaded patch on other machines via
mapped drive and it worked fine, the current paging file
size for the erred machine is 2048 MB, which should be
enough.

any help would be appreciated

Which OS? XPsp2 doesn't need this and there is a long list
of non-affected software in the security bulletin.

Which applications do you need it for?

What versions of the modules affected do you have now?

One way to answer that last question would be to expand all [+] boxes
in the following article and search for the string verif

The article doesn't mention if a log is created by the install but usually
there is so I would look for one and check it for clues.


Make sure that you have downloaded the right version.
Trying to install the wrong version would probably cause
unusual symptoms, perhaps including yours.
