In 2003 there was the option to send a word file within the body of an email.
Now in MS word 2007 the option is now longer there, everything is sent as an
attachment. Is there a way to change this?

Hi Jade. I have the same problem. However, when I downloaded the Test version
of Office 2007 in November or early December, I forgot to write my email
address when prompted. A friend of mine also downloaded the Test version but
he wrote his address and the Email button works. Thus when I installed a
purchased version of Office 2007 and opened Word 2007, when trying the Email
button in the Quick Access toolbar it isn't clickable. i hope it's easily
remedied.

You can add the regular Send to the Quick Access Toolbar.
Look up by the Office button where the Save / Undo / Redo buttons are.
(That's the QAT). There should be a drop arrow on the right of those buttons.
Click the drop arrow and choose "More Commands..."
In the dialog, drop the Choose Commands From list and pick "Commands Not on
the Ribbon"
Scroll down and find Send to Mail Recipient and click Add>>
OK out of the dialog and the button will be on your QAT.

Hi Renee,

Thank you so much for your help for resolving the small problem of the
Email button not working in Word 2007 by adding the Send to Mail Recipient
button! It works. Just to let you know, Office 2007 is a good version and one
being disabled the tasks are much easier to do than before in any version of
Office. I had to use Open Office writer for a while and I was lost. Just
looking for how to Insert Page Numbers in a document it took me three or more
days and with MS Office Word 2007 it took me few seconds! That's how easy it
is. There are small things I still need to learn but I'm glad I got Office
2007!

Thanks
Steve Dolesch
