MS queries in EXCEL

Hi
I used MS query to import external data from the data-warehouse into a pivot table in EXCEL. This function can be found when you click Data -> Import External Data -> New DAtabase Query. The query ran and EXCEL returned the pivot table successfully. However, when I wanted to make changes to the query, I am unable to locate it. Where is the query stored in the EXCEL file, how can I access and and edit it?

I noted that the Edit Query option under 'Import External Data' also greyed out and unavailable.

Another related question: Will another user be able to refresh the data if he opens my EXCEL file? Assume he also has an identical ODBC connection. Is there anyway I can deny him the rights to refresh the data without denying access (password protect) to my EXCEL file?

Thank you.

Hi

Go to your pivot table and get the pivot table wizard
screen. Press back button, then Get Data Field. Then press
<Next> three times till you get in the last screen and
select 'View data or edit query in MS'. Maybe there are
faster ways to do this, but this is the only way I know!

Regarding the other question, you can protect your sheet
with the pivottable with a password (Tools/Protection).
