MS Outlook 2003 wants to open 20 emails at once

My cat walked on the keyboard and now MS Outlook asks, when I want to open
one email, whether I really want to open 20 emails as it will be slow. What
do I do now?
 
If you close Outlook and reopen it, does the problem recur? Might a key be
stuck on your keyboard?
