MS messenger works, but not MSN messenger?

i need help with restoring all registry keys and also the
administrative tools-setup, cause i think i've done
something that prevent msn messenger from signing in, but
ms messenger works just fine. please help me, i know that
the .net-status is up and runnning fine, my friends run
msn messenger.!

Pull up Tools/OPtions and make sure that the; as you call it; MS Messenger
is unchecked to run at start up and that MSN Messneger 6.0 IS checked.
