MS antispyware alerts run up screen too fast to read??!!

Hi - just installed MS new antispyware program. However,
alerts flash up the right of the screen from bottom to top
too fast to read. Then they (or something else) runs the
other way down the screen.

Sometimes, if I can click on it the message stops for me.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks

Richard

Do you have your start bar positioned anywhere else aside
from the default position at the bottom of the screen? I
had mine on the left hand side, and was experiencing the
same problem. It works fine with the start bar in the
default position. The code obviously just assumes the start
bar will be at the bottom of the screen.

I just had a chance to observe this for the first time! You really have to
be a speed reader.

This is a bug. It is visible when your taskbar is on the right or left side
of the screen. If you move the taskbar to the bottom or top of the screen,
it goes away.

It is on the list of items to be fixed already.

You will find that you have a large number of gcaservalert (or similar?)
processes running after seeing a series of these. You should either log off
and on again, or use task manager to end task these processes.

If you are regularly going to see alerts, and you can't stand having the
taskbar at the bottom or top, uninstalling the beta and waiting for the next
release is the only workaround I can offer.

I see the same thing, but only when I have the TaskBar on
the right-hand edge of the screen. If I return the TaskBar
to the default position at the bottom of the screen, the
little alert boxes only move up until they are sitting
atop the task bar.
