MS Access opens the last opened application every time I launch it

Can anyone tell me if there is a way of fixing this problem without
re-installing MS Access 2007?

The problem is that every time I launch MS Access (it doesn't matter how -
even if I double-click on MSACCESS.EXE in the program library) it always
launches the last opened application. It never used to - this is a new
feature that started to appear in the last few days. So to open new
application I have to launch MS Access holding the Shift key, close the
application that last launched, and then open the new application. HELP!!!
 
A quick workaround would be to create a shortcut to the app that you want to
open.

Check this out: OfficeKey > Access Options > Advanced > Open last used
database

Thanks for the suggestion but that's actually a pain for me. Tom gave me the
solution I needed.
