I don't know if MS has some position on using a access over a wan.
You have several different database engines you can use with ms-access. If
you are talking about using "JET" in a file share mode, then certainly
everyone will tell you that you need a very reliable connection, and wan's
don't generally provide such a connection.
The other problem is of course the speed of the wan is usually not good
enough either.
