MRU files option in tools/options/general is greyed out, ideas? SO

I have the same problem and traced it to "Registry Mechanic".
However, I can't fix it, I can't find Registry setting that was set wrong.
Han you help?
 
Use regedit.exe to locate the key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

If there is an item in the right-hand window named NoRecentDocsHistory
with the value binary 01 00 00 00, change it to binary 00 00 00 00.
